Key distinctions (do not mix these up)

Staff = login / dashboard access
HR = people / employee record (payroll)
Branch = outlet / organization (Enterprise)
Warehouse  = stock location
Storefront = customer-facing online store
  • Staff ≠ HR employee — login users are not automatically payroll people.
  • Branch ≠ Warehouse — outlet org vs where goods sit.
  • Financial ledger (Journal) ≠ Inventory ledger (Stock movement) — money and quantity stay separate, then meet through purchase/sale workflows.

Default purchase flow (Flow A)

Canonical (goods first)
  Supplier → PO → GRN → stock movement + sellable quantity
         → Supplier bill → AP → payment → cash/bank down

Exception (bill posts receive)
  PO → Supplier bill → stock + qtyReceived
  → do NOT GRN the same qty again

Physical goods first → use GRN. Bill-first without GRN already posts receive — that path is the exception, not the default.
