Definitie
BonikBiz backup has two layers. Platform Backup & DR protects the whole MongoDB/media stack for ops (Super Admin + server scripts). Store Backup & Recovery is a merchant add-on for longer product trash and catalog snapshots. Use the dedicated articles below for backup and restore steps.
Compatibiliteit
- Platform jobs: Super Admin only; requires BACKUP_ENABLED and a writable BACKUP_DIR on the API host.
- Store add-on: store owner/billing permission; unlocks after the Backup & Recovery invoice is paid.
- Free stores still get short product trash (default 14 days) without the add-on.

RPO / RTO (platform)
- RPO (Recovery Point Objective): about 1 hour with hourly dumps enabled.
- RTO (Recovery Time Objective): up to about 4 hours for a full VPS rebuild; minutes for soft-deleted products.
- Follow 3-2-1: 3 copies, 2 locations, 1 off-site (BACKUP_REMOTE_* / secondary media).
