Meta Pixel — track visitors for ads

Connect your Facebook/Instagram Pixel so Meta can remember who visited your shop — then you can show them ads again (retargeting).

সংজ্ঞা

A Meta Pixel is a small tracker from Meta (Facebook/Instagram). When someone opens your shop, views a product, adds to cart, or buys, BonikBiz tells Meta “this happened.” That visitor trail is your website footprint. Retargeting means showing ads later to people who visited but did not buy. BonikBiz does not run ads for you — you create ads in Meta Ads Manager. ROAS (return on ad spend) is measured there; we do not guarantee sales from ads.

Which plan do you need?

  • Lite — no Pixel (catalog + Contact Seller only).
  • Starter and above — Pixel in the browser (shopper’s phone/computer).
  • Growth and above — Pixel + Conversions API (CAPI). CAPI = a second, server-side copy of important events (like Purchase) so tracking still works if the browser blocks ads scripts. Purchase events share one ID so Meta does not count the same sale twice.

Simple example: Rina views a bag, adds it to cart, then leaves. With Pixel on, Meta can put her in a “cart abandoners” audience. You run an ad “Still thinking about this bag?” — that is retargeting. Whether she buys depends on your ad and offer.

Words in plain language

  • Pixel ID — your tracker number from Meta Events Manager (copy and paste into BonikBiz).
  • Event — one action Meta understands (View product, Add to cart, Purchase, etc.).
  • Audience — a list of people Meta built from those events, used to show ads.
  • CAPI (Conversions API) — server-side tracking (Growth+). Stronger when browsers block Pixel.
  • event_id — a shared code for the same Purchase from Pixel and CAPI so Meta counts it once.

How to connect (step by step)

  1. In Meta Events Manager, create a Pixel (or copy an existing Pixel ID).
  2. On Growth+, also create a Conversions API access token for that Pixel (a secret password for server tracking).
  3. In BonikBiz open Store → Settings → Ads & Retargeting.
  4. Paste the Pixel ID. On Growth+, paste the CAPI token (leave blank if you already saved one and do not want to change it).
  5. Save. Open your live shop and check Meta’s Test Events / Pixel Helper that PageView and product views appear.
নোট: Never post your CAPI token in public chats or social media. BonikBiz keeps it encrypted and never puts it on your public shop page.

What BonikBiz sends to Meta

  • PageView — someone opened a shop page.
  • ViewContent — someone opened a product page.
  • AddToCart — someone tapped Add to cart.
  • InitiateCheckout — someone started checkout.
  • Purchase — someone completed / paid an order (browser Pixel; Growth+ also sends CAPI).
  • Lead — someone used Contact Seller (Call, WhatsApp, Messenger, Email, or copy phone) when Pixel is on.

Simple retargeting idea

In Meta Ads Manager, create an audience like “Viewed a product in the last 7 days but did not purchase.” Run a small ad budget to that group and watch results in Ads Manager.

BonikBiz’s job is clean tracking. Your job is the ad photo, text, budget, and offer.

নোট: Confirm Pixel / CAPI on Store → Billing. Full setup path: Settings → Ads & Retargeting.
