Product categories
Create, edit, hide, and delete store catalog categories, then assign them on each product.

Product categories group items in your store catalog so shoppers can browse /shop/{slug} and /shop/{slug}/category/{id}. This is not expense categories (Business Suite) and not the Super Admin marketplace taxonomy.
Who this is for
- Available on Lite and paid plans (catalog). Cart/checkout still needs Starter+.
- Each store has its own category list — other stores do not share yours.
- Inactive (hidden) categories stay in the dashboard but are not shown to shoppers.
Create categories first, then pick one when you add or edit a product. Shoppers use them as browse filters on your storefront.
Add a category
- Open Store → Categories (/store/categories).
- Choose Add category.
- Enter a name (required). The URL slug is generated from the name.
- Optional: description and image.
- Leave Active on so the category appears on the storefront. Turn Active off to hide it without deleting.
- Save.
Assign a category to a product
- Open Store → Products → Add or Edit.
- Choose the category from the product form.
- Save. The product then appears under that category on the storefront.
注意: Bulk import can include a category column when the template offers it. Help: Adding products and bulk upload.
Edit, hide, or delete
- Edit name, description, image, or Active from the category card.
- Delete removes the category only. Products stay in the catalog and become uncategorized until you assign a new category.
- Search the Categories page to find a name quickly.
What shoppers see
- Active categories appear on the storefront home and as /shop/{slug}/category/{id}.
- Clear names and images help buyers find products faster.
- Keep a short list (for example Men, Women, Accessories) rather than one category per SKU.
