Business Suite · Ops & people
Caminho: Store → Warehouse · Production · HR · Payroll · Branches
Definição
Ops & People covers how you run locations, transform stock, manage people, and (on Enterprise) organize outlets. Professional unlocks Warehouse and Production. The Business Suite billing plan adds HR and Payroll. Enterprise adds Branches. Use each dedicated article for create/manage steps.
Compatibility (Billing plan names)
- Plan names match Store → Billing: Starter → Growth → Professional → Business Suite → Enterprise.
- Warehouse / Production / Projects / Service / Assets: Professional+.
- HR directory and Payroll pay runs: Business Suite plan+ (the plan labeled Business Suite on Billing — not “any back-office screen”).
- Branches / multi-outlet: Enterprise.
- Source of truth for menus today: Store → Billing.
Five definitions: Warehouse = stock location · Production = stock transformation · HR = people master data · Payroll = people compensation · Branch = organizational / outlet structure.
Plan progression
Starter → Purchases + Inventory Growth → Accounting + Banking + Expenses + Reports Professional → Warehouse + Production (+ Projects / Service / Assets) Business Suite (Billing plan name) → HR + Payroll Enterprise → Branches (multi-outlet)
“Business Suite” is both this Help category and a Billing plan name. When this page says Business Suite plan, it means the plan on Billing.
Mental model
Operations Inventory → What stock do we have? Warehouse → Where is the stock? (locations + transfers) Production → Transform materials into finished goods Branch → Organizational / outlet structure (Enterprise) People HR → Employee master data Payroll → Employee compensation (pay run → journal → pay)
Inventory (Starter+) answers how much sellable stock you have. Warehouse (Professional+) answers where it sits and how it moves between locations.
Warehouse (Professional+)
Inventory → how much stock? Warehouse → where is the stock? Warehouse A → Transfer → Warehouse B
Create locations, view balances, and transfer stock between warehouses.
Branch ≠ Warehouse: Branch is outlet organization; Warehouse is a physical stock location. One branch can be assigned multiple warehouses when both exist.

HR — Human Resources (Business Suite plan)
HR ├── Employee records ├── Departments / contacts ├── Employment data └── Optional: branch assignment (Enterprise) Staff (Store → Staff) = dashboard login seats HR = people directory for ops & payroll
Add employees, departments, and contacts. Link people who need both an HR profile and a Staff login seat separately — creating HR does not create a login.
Payroll reads Active employees from HR — add people here before building a pay run.

Payment process (treasury / cash per your process) Payroll = compensation for a period. HR = who the people are.
Journal posting and marking paid / payment can be separate steps — details live in the Payroll article.
Branches (Enterprise)
Enterprise ├── Branch A → Staff · Warehouse(s) ├── Branch B → Staff · Warehouse(s) └── Branch C → Staff · Warehouse(s)
Create outlets, then assign Staff and warehouses. Warehouse remains the stock location; Branch remains the org structure.
On non-Enterprise plans, leave branch as “No branch” where the UI prompts you.
